With a background in journalism, Michele Stanten has always blended her love of health and fitness with her talent of writing. As the former fitness director of Prevention magazine, she created a marathon walking program that helped thousands of readers walk full and half marathons, and perhaps more importantly, transform their lives. Now a full-time walking coach, Michele is the author of Firm Up in 3 Weeks, Walk Off Weight, and the co-author of Walk Your Butt Off. She also created, where she shares her expertise as an ACE Group Fitness Instructor. Michele has written for a variety of publications, including Prevention, Self magazine and MORE, and she has appeared as an expert on NBC’s Weekend Today Show, ABC’s Good Morning America, The Biggest Loser, CNN, CBS’s Early Show, Good Day New York and NPR. She has also walked several distance events including a 3-day, 60-mile walk, a full marathon, and many half marathons.
