Throughout your career as a fitness professional, you’ll be exposed to numerous products and tools that can be used during client training sessions. Here at ACE, we recognize that it can be overwhelming trying to decide which tools to use, and the cost of these products can be significant. The site features a number of tools that you can recommend your clients use in between sessions so that they can stay active and engaged, as well as others that can be used during your training sessions to challenge your clients in new ways. Resolution Evolution was created in an effort to change the notion that January is the only starting point for working toward health and fitness goals. At ACE, we believe improving yourself should be a constant process and you don’t need a national holiday to start being the person you want to be—you can do it right now. Resolution Evolution allows anyone with a Facebook profile to submit something they want to achieve, upload a motivational image that represents what they want to work toward, track their progress through posts and photos, and build relationships with others just like them. We’ve also created ACE Challenges to help push people to accomplish smaller fitness goals along the way for a chance to win prizes like gear, home equipment and apparel.
This tool is a great way for pros to connect with, and provide tips and advice to, participants on how to reach their goals. It can also be a place for you to send clients to keep them motivated and accountable in between sessions.
28 Days to a Healthier You
The 28 Days to a Healthier You interactive wellness program is a tool that you can either use yourself or recommend to your clients. It can be an excellent way to kick-start your new clients’ journey to health and fitness, or used to enhance your current client’s routine.
The program gives ample information about health and fitness for people who want to make positive lifestyle changes. The program gives users access to daily activities, exercise and nutrition information, fun “to-do’s” for the day, weekly articles and videos. Participants can opt in to receive daily email and/or text-message updates reminding them to access the day’s activity. A key aspect of the program is that users have access to an interactive message board, where they can discuss their journeys with others and reap the benefits of feeling like they’re not alone in the program.
When designing programs for your clients, don’t forget to use our free Exercise Library! The library features a variety of movements to choose from and allows you to browse by movements that target specific areas of the body. Each exercise includes a detailed description and photos to help ensure proper form. Incorporating new exercises into your clients’ training regimens is a great way to keep them engaged and challenge their bodies and minds in new ways.
While it is outside a fitness professional’s scope of practice to give nutrition advice and create meal plans, the Nutrition section of acefit.com is a great place to refer your clients for nutrition tips and healthy recipes. The ACE Fit Youth & Family section offers tools and resources to help your clients and their families to live their most fit lives! The Press Play for Fitness section of ACE Fit includes a number of workout videos that can be done from the comfort of your home or office. The videos range from a 40-minute yoga flow to a martial arts workout, and is a great tool to recommend to your clients so that they can continue to stay active and challenged in between training sessions.
