February is American Heart Month and an official statement from President Barack Obama, released by the White House, said that "heart disease takes the lives of over half a million Americans, and it remains the leading cause of death in the United States."
The president also said this month was a time to remember preventative steps we all can take to make our hearts healthier and reduce the risk of heart disease — making balanced and nutritious meal choices, maintaining a healthy weight and of course, getting active.
How exactly can we get physically active to ensure our hearts are healthy? ACE Fitness Expert & Personal Training Senior Consultant, Jonathan Ross, will be on Lifetime's "The Balancing Act" to discuss the relationship between exercise and heart disease. And as the author of the book, Abs Revealed, Ross will be able to provide actual exercises that can improve your heart health.
