If you're an employer looking to increase productivity amongst employees, the gym may be your solution. Employees, take those gym bags with you to work.

new study published in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine found that employees who worked out for two-and-a-half hours during work hours felt more productive in remaining work hours than those who didn't, Scientific American reported.

This group was compared against a second group who also took two-and-a-half hours off during the week but didn't exercise, and a control group who did not take any time off.

The employees from a large Swiss public dental health organization then self-reported on their productivity and also tallied the number of sick days they used after six and 12 months.

The group who exercised used less sick days than those in the other two groups and also felt more productive.

Do you work out during work hours? If so, have you found it has helped your productivity?
