Engage Your Class with Research-based Coaching Strategies for HIIT Indoor Cycling

As one of the most utilized protocols in indoor cycling, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) can keep your workouts fresh, push your class to the max and keep them coming back for more. Having the tools to provide creative HIIT protocols will ensure high quality class content, effective program design and meaningful variety in your classes so you can expand your appeal, ultimately helping more participants achieve their fitness and wellness goals.

In this video training, you’ll build a solid foundation of research-based HIIT protocols and strategies to successfully implement into your indoor cycling classes and keep participants engaged. You’ll also examine communication and motivational strategies as well as the highlights of recovery coaching strategies for HIIT classes.

Led by Keli Roberts, an ACE Master Trainer and Schwinn Senior Master Trainer with certifications from ACE, ACSM and AFAA, you’ll walk away with new ideas, coaching tips and motivating strategies to add more variety into your classes and keep them fun!

Upon completion, you will be able to:

  • Review current HIIT studies and highlight the specifics of each protocol as it pertains to indoor cycling
  • Demonstrate how to implement 5 different protocols in a class plan
  • Examine coaching and motivational strategies appropriate for an indoor cycling HIIT-centered class
  • Highlight recovery coaching strategies for HIIT classes

Really good

This course was interesting, but very confusing in verbal delivery and slide content, so I rated it 1 star. I took 6 pages of detailed notes, and sometimes what the instructor said did not match the slide content, and/or the slide content was unclear (number of intervals, length of rests, etc.). I scored 90% on the quiz on first try, so I must have done okay in taking notes. I would advise someone completely unfamiliar with the content review this and look for points of confusion.

As a cycle instructor of 9 ish years it becomes hard to find to stay motivated and creative in creating classes. These drill examples and coaching tips have reinspired and motivated me to bring more to my classes. This course helps combat group fitness instructor burnout.

great job Kelly
