An ACE Pro is Honored as Industry’s Best for the Seventh Time at IDEA World Fitness Convention™

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 6, 2015—At this year’s IDEA World Fitness Convention, Mike Z. Robinson, a long-time ACE Certified Personal Trainer, was recognized as the 2015 IDEA Personal Trainer of the Year. This marks the seventh time since the program’s inception that an ACE professional has been honored with this coveted industry accolade. The award is presented to a personal trainer who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, business management, motivational and instructional skills, and has inspired his or her clients to achieve greater personal growth and a higher level of success.

"Winning the IDEA Personal Trainer of the Year award is one of my biggest career accomplishments and I am honored to be recognized by my peers for hard work and dedication to this craft,” said Robinson. “I’m grateful for the all the support I’ve received from ACE throughout my entire career—from guiding me on its direction to answering my calls every day for the first three months after getting certified. I am proud to be a part of the ACE family and wouldn’t be where I am today without their help.”

Mike Robinson, certified since 2006, is the owner of MZR Fitness and Mike Z. Robinson Enterprises, which offers mentorship and personal trainer development programs, gym design, speaking and consulting, in San Luis Obispo. From an early age, Robinson had his heart set on becoming a certified fitness professional and owning a gym. Two years before his 30th birthday, he accomplished that goal. Robinson also gives back to his community by holding an annual fundraiser benefitting the Family Care Network, which serves foster and at-risk children.

Robinson holds a dual bachelor’s degree in business and kinesiology from Sonoma State University.

“On behalf of the ACE family, I applaud Mike for receiving this top industry recognition,” said ACE CEO and President Scott Goudeseune. “He truly exemplifies ACE’s quality standards for fitness education and we look forward to our continued work together providing safe and effective exercise to help individuals live their most fit and healthy lives.”
