Diabetes has become an epidemic. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 30 million Americans have type 2 diabetes and another 84 million suffer from prediabetes. As the number of Americans with diabetes continues to rise at alarming rates, the demand for professionals who understand these clients and their specific needs is increasing.

Reviews

this course was absolutely fascinating

Not what I expected from the title. The presenter obviously knows about her topic, and there was good information, but, oh my goodness, five parts that just went on and on and on. Plan to put in at least 8 hours for watching the 5 videos and taking notes because, in general, and for all the CEC courses, it is never known what specifics will be asked on the multiple guess quiz. With the amount of information presented, this course should be broken down into three separate CEC courses, one on each cornerstone topic, or, as it stands, this course should receive at least three instead of just one credit. Just be aware, before you sign up for this course, of the time you'll have to put in, and that it's just one credit.
