Not what I expected from the title. The presenter obviously knows about her topic, and there was good information, but, oh my goodness, five parts that just went on and on and on. Plan to put in at least 8 hours for watching the 5 videos and taking notes because, in general, and for all the CEC courses, it is never known what specifics will be asked on the multiple guess quiz. With the amount of information presented, this course should be broken down into three separate CEC courses, one on each cornerstone topic, or, as it stands, this course should receive at least three instead of just one credit. Just be aware, before you sign up for this course, of the time you'll have to put in, and that it's just one credit.

Diabetes has become an epidemic. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 30 million Americans have type 2 diabetes and another 84 million suffer from prediabetes. As the number of Americans with diabetes continues to rise at alarming rates, the demand for professionals who understand these clients and their specific needs is increasing.

Bryant, PhD, FACSM and presented by ACE Director of Science and Research Content Sabrena Jo, MS, this course will teach you effective lifestyle behavior-change strategies to prevent and manage prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. By acquiring the knowledge to serve this specialized population, exercise professionals, health coaches and other allied health professionals can become a valuable addition to the diabetic client’s healthcare team.

- Learn the pathophysiology and complications of DM
- Learn effective lifestyle intervention strategies for clients with DM
- Learn basic strategies for coaching behavior change to drive program success
Great presentation. I am a Registered Dietitian, and I learned new things about DM, nutrition, and exercise. It was scientifically sound all around.
