When you consider that 45 million Americans each year spend $33 billion on weight-loss products, it’s easy to see that people are searching for ways to drop fat and attain better health. The problem comes in the old adage that “calories in,” “calories out” is the way to go. In this course, led by registered dietitian Justin Robinson, you’ll learn why that principle is outdated and how weight management is actually related to three factors: our intake, storage and output. Participants will also explore an updated perspective on what it takes to lose body fat, increase lean body mass and reduce risk of disease.

You will learn:

  • How nutrient density and caloric density influences energy intake
  • How to regulate hormones that control fat storage
  • The most effective energy expenditure exercise methods
  • Practical nutrition recommendations to incorporate into your practice

This has quite a bit of insight into how data changes over the years. Being brought up in the 80s and 90s, you were taught that you must obsess over everything diet related if you wanted to make sure you were going to lose weight. This is a much more rounded approach and I truly appreciate it.
