SAN DIEGO, Calif. – June. 17, 2002 –The American Council on Exercise (ACE), America’s nonprofit fitness advocate, today announced that Corporate Fitness Works (CFW), has named ACE their preferred personal training certification organization. CFW serves the health, fitness and recreation needs of business and industry by managing on-site fitness centers for businesses, government agencies, office park developers, retirement communities, hospitals, and residential communities.

Through this alliance, all fitness professionals working for a CFW center will have the opportunity to become ACE certified. This program brings quality education and certification to the CFW team, positioning the company as a market leader and an educational resource for fitness professionals and the public.

“ACE offers CFW a program that will bring a consistent high level of education and training to our degreed fitness professionals and to the public and clients that we serve,” said Brenda Loube, president/co-owner of Corporate Fitness Works. “The program will prepare our team to sit for the ACE professional certifications, providing them a solid career path and will aid CFW in retaining the best and brightest team.”

ACE Faculty will be dispatched to train CFW professionals as personal trainers and/or group fitness instructors, and to provide continuing education on exercise program design and the latest standards and practices in the fitness industry. As the partnership progresses, CFW professionals can become ACE Master Practical Trainers, allowing them to train fellow professionals.

“CFW's management has recognized that traditional approaches to health and fitness no longer satisfy the needs of today's corporations,” said Ken Germano, executive director the American Council on Exercise. “With a standard in education and certification, CFW can enhance their presence in the industry.”
