Diabetes Training Program Level 1 (Beginner)

This foundational course gives health and fitness professionals a better understanding of how to safely and effectively work with clients with diabetes or prediabetes. This course covers the types of training that are appropriate and critical: injury prevention, blood glucose monitoring, medication basics, complications, exercise motivation, and more.
You will learn:
- To master the basics of diabetes, including types and complications.
- More about typical responses to physical activity in people with diabetes or prediabetes.
- To safely and effectively create a training routine for clients with diabetes.
- How to work with active agers and clients impacted by overweight or obesity who have diabetes or prediabetes.
This course is the first in a three-part series on Diabetes Training. It is recommended that all three courses be taken to maximize the learning experience.
