The Comprehensive Guide to Correcting Muscle and Movement Imbalances
Musculoskeletal disorders and imbalances affect millions of people in the United States, with as many as one in two Americans afflicted, according to the National Institutes of Health. With corrective exercise, you can help your clients target underlying muscle and movement imbalances that cause pain and discomfort. By learning proper movements and techniques aimed at mitigating and eliminating musculoskeletal imbalances, you can help clients begin, return to or continue a program of regular exercise without limitations. The key to success, however, is designing the right program for each client.
The Complete Corrective Exercise Library gives you access to a vast array of exercises that can be used to correct musculoskeletal imbalances and alleviate muscle dysfunction, joint discomfort and movement limitations. Containing nearly 200 different exercises, this digital library will arm you with the tools to help clients who are suffering from a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders find pain relief and increase their movement capabilities. The course also provides instruction on which exercises are appropriate and effective for specific musculoskeletal imbalances and demonstrates what to look for when clients are performing exercises to ensure they are both getting the most out of the movement, and executing it safely.
With the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in America, the reality is that most clients who seek health and fitness services are among those suffering from these conditions. In fact, studies have shown that 90% of people who currently use personal training services report experiencing pain related to temporary or chronic musculoskeletal issues while performing even low-level physical activities (Schroeder and Donlin 2013). Gaining the knowledge and skills to identify and correct muscle and movement imbalances is both crucial to your current practice and to your career growth. The lack of fitness professionals with the appropriate skills to serve people with muscle or joint pain and other physically-limiting musculoskeletal conditions has created a significant gap in the care continuum. Learning these skills will enable you to fill this need—and position yourself as a go-to professional in this area.
You will learn:
- Nearly 200 exercises—with progressions, regressions and alternatives—that can be used to create effective corrective exercise programs
- To identify which muscle and soft tissue structure imbalances will be targeted with the various types of exercise modalities
- The benefits of performing each individual corrective exercise
- How to successfully teach and cue each corrective exercise through both written instruction and video demonstration
- Tips and precautions for performing and teaching each exercise successfully

This course is fantastic. The library is well-organized, practical and easy to navigate. The exercises range from very simple to really challenging. At first glance some of the exercises seem traditional. However, once you read the descriptions and watch the videos you understand how each one is used from a corrective exercise stand point. I especially enjoyed the videos in the library. They taught me how to use the exercises for correcting imbalances, improving movement, alleviating pain and are truly eye opening! Highly recommended course.
I never spend time righting a bad review, and I understanding people need to make a living creating this courses. My expectation from the courses offered by the ACE are really low, but this one was disrespectful. A believe it need to be upgraded, this course is ok for someone starting in the fitness industry in the 90th, but it is very obsolete, and the material is very low quality.
A large variety of exercises. Great explanations and order was easy to follow. Very easy to use.
