An Intense Workout That Works

Barre fitness has exploded in popularity over the past few years. Inspired by the movements of ballet, barre’s combination of fitness elements—including Pilates, dance, yoga and functional training—are highly effective in improving cardiovascular health, muscle development and flexibility. As interest continues to rise, barre is quickly becoming a cornerstone of group fitness classes.

Barre Intensity® takes barre classes to a new level, with a specific focus on muscle fatigue and elevated heart rate to create an intense and effective whole-body workout. The Barre Intensity® Instructor Training course will teach you the foundations of traditional barre while adding skills and techniques that will set you apart from other barre instructors in the industry. Taught by Stephanie Lyons, President and Lead Master Trainer of Barre Intensity®, and Elyssa Sardy, a Barre Intensity® Master Teacher Trainer and Lululemon Brand Ambassador, this course will teach you proper body alignment, body positions, structured class outline, class choreography with variations and modifications, intensity options for all exercises and tips for smooth transitions and cueing techniques.

Career Outlook

As barre continues to grow in popularity, the demand for barre instructors continues to rise. The Barre Intensity® Instructor Training course will not only position you competitively in this market, but will also provide you with skills and techniques that are applicable across all fitness genres and class structure techniques, including transitioning, cueing, exercise duration and beat matching.

Reviews

There is not enough instruction on how to use the props. Also, the information regarding what is required for "course completion" vs "full certification" should have been explained in the course description
