In this webinar led by fitness expert and law enforcement veteran Jay Dawes, you will learn to develop a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for a variety of those personnel. In addition, participants will also discuss fitness needs for the population as well as unique legal challenges regarding fitness testing and assessments.
You will learn:
- Essential on-the-job tasks for law enforcement personnel
- Testing and assessment methods commonly used to determine fitness for duty
- A variety of training plans and options for improving fitness for cadets, full-time officers and members of special teams
Not much for take-aways to apply to my field. Too general and too short to really cover the material.
The instructor really knew what he was talking about. geared more toward specialty units within law enforcement. Would be great to do another about training geared more toward the regular patrol officer. For question #6, the correct answer was Alarm, Adaptation, Exhaustion but on the instructors slides during the lecture it was Alarm, Resistance, Exhaustion. Great Training.
