Establishing appropriate training intensities can be a challenge for both client and fitness professional. In the second of four courses that delve deeper into the Cardiorespiratory Training component of the ACE Integrated Fitness Training® (ACE IFT®) Model, you will learn how to use the sub-maximal talk test to progress clients safely through Phase 2 of a cardiovascular training plan. This course, led by ACE Exercise Physiologist Jacque Ratliff, will conclude with a case study.
You will learn:
- Components of the sub-maximal talk test and how it can be used to establish appropriate training intensities
- Intricacies of Phase 2 of the Cardiorespiratory Training component of the ACE IFT Model
- How to plan safe and effective exercise progressions for a client within Phase 2 of the cardiorespiratory component
Good overview of the VT1 Talk Test and how it applies.
Good information but basic and essentially a refresher of what was covered in the exam prep to get certified in the first place. Good reminders though.
