Coaching Progressions for Speed, Agility and Quickness

The ability to generate explosive muscular forces rapidly in order to accelerate, change directions, and then re-accelerate over relatively short distances is essential for athletes seeking a competitive edge. In this webinar, led by ACE Master Trainer Jay Dawes, Ph.D., former director of education for the National Strength and Conditioning Association, you will learn to develop a progressive speed and agility program that establishes a solid foundation and understanding of movement to help athletes maximize their potential. You’ll also discover how to teach proper mechanics and provide appropriate feedback based on the level of athlete you are training.
You will learn:
The importance of progression using a motor development approach when training speed, agility and quickness
To reduce risk of injury through teaching proper movement mechanics
How to provide feedback and guidance throughout an athlete’s progression
I enjoyed all the photos of the athletes during different drills. t help to see and understand proper technique/form.
The webinar was more interesting with how the Dr/Coach approached the topic, but the powerpoint over voice over is difficult to follow along with for an hour. Additionally, an hour long video for a 10 question test seems asinine.
