Guide Clients Through the Stages of Movement to Achieve Their Potential
A postpartum mother trying to lose the last of her baby weight has a far different fitness goal than an endurance athlete working to shave minutes off his or her half marathon time. So why would the two follow the same exercise program? The ACE Integrated Fitness Training® (ACE IFT®) Model is a blueprint for personal trainers to deliver custom, individualized exercise programs built on a foundation of meaningful rapport and strong personal connection. In this course led by Anthony J. Wall, Director of Strategic Partnerships at ACE, you will learn the structure and proper progressions needed to advance individuals from a variety of backgrounds from function to performance. You will discover how to help improve balance, core function, cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular endurance and strength through a continuum of connected programming, as illustrated through several case studies.
You will learn:
- The components and variables of a well-designed exercise program to address both the needs and wants of a client
- A model for exercise program design with an underlying principle of building rapport to help clients implement behavior change strategies to reach healthy fitness goals
- How to design an exercise program for client progression by building from the foundational elements of stabilization and mobilization.
