There was a lot of outdated information pertaining to social media. This is a course that needs updating every 6-12 months due to the shifting nature of the platforms discussed.

The author made some good points; however, I felt like I was reading a social media website. The material wasn't organized well and it was quite repetitive. It also was a bit outdated. Considering how important videos are, YouTube should have been covered in detail.

A variety is very important topics were addressed and explained thoroughly and expressed in ways very easy to understand. Great course!

This is an extremely long and boring read for anyone who has been using social media and who already understands how to post across multiple platforms, and how use social media to build business leads, attract the right customers, and network. Ironically, this could have been a YouTube video, with animated aspects, and the author may have thought to include how to promote the content within the book across the multiple social media platforms she wrote about, which would have demonstrated all her points within the ebook. Then everyone could see how social media can be maximized (the true "marketing essentials"). My idea here would have also been a creative way for the author to use the content in her ebook to perhaps cross-market any other ebooks she has written, or that she is available for consults (if that is part of her revenue stream). "Social Media Marketing Essentials" without any use of social media ends up being a very academic snooze read about a platform that is super dynamic, creative, and engaging.
