About Timothy Haft: Tim Haft is certified as a personal trainer by the American Council on Exercise (since 1998), as a track coach by USA Track & Field, and as a stability ball instructor by Resist-A-Ball. He also holds a BA in history from the University of Virginia and an MA in sociology from New York University. Tim has been training individuals of all ages and fitness levels since 1998. His easygoing, nurturing, and direct approach combined with his ability to inspire and motivate has enabled many of his clients to achieve fitness goals they previously thought impossible. In fall 2004 Tim created Punk Rope, a playful cross between recess and boot camp, which is now the most popular rope-jumping based fitness class in the United States. In spring 2010, Tim created Beastanetics, a high-intensity, interval-style, workout inspired by the Tabata protocol. Tim’s approach to fitness is simple. Find an activity you enjoy and stick with it, but keep your mind open to the body’s infinite ability to express itself. Play often and try to keep your sense of humor. Take care of your body, as you only get one. And remember, you’re never too old to start and enjoy working out.
