I am a high school physics and astronomy teacher and serve as a personal trainer part time. My athletic background is as a long-distance runner and walker. Since 1978 I have completed 120,000 miles on foot, including 118 ultramarathons, 54 marathons and literally hundreds of other walking and running races. I won the National 24-Hour Championship in 1989 and the 100 Kilometer Racewalk National Championship in 1986. My educational credentials include an MEd in Exercise Science and an MS in Nutrition, and I have been ACE-Certified since 2002. My expertise is helping clients with general health issues involving nutrition and exercise needs. I am particularly good at helping beginning walkers and runners turn these activities into lifelong pursuits. Since 2005, I have answered questions about walking online at www.allexperts.com. I have coached walkers to successful completion of the Breast Cancer 3-Day (60 mile) Walk and numerous runners to improved ultramarathon and marathon performances.
