About Jill Johnson: I enjoy working with a variety of clients and design exercise programs to help them achieve their health and fitness goals. My specialty is Safe Spine Pilates. Authentic, classical Pilates is biased in flexion, much of it loaded lumbar flexion. I teach a style of pilates based on science rather than tradition. While much of the original method is safe and the philosophy is sound, some of the movements can aggravate or eventually damage discs. My style teaches you to strengthen the muscles around the spine without moving the spine around for the ultimate in safety and efficacy.
