American Council on Exercise (ACE) Hosts Fitness Professional Forum in New York City
Leading Fitness Experts Discussed Latest Industry Trends, Topics and Issues
The Forum featured a panel of three fitness experts who discussed the latest industry trends and issues as well as responded to feedback from ACE-certified professionals attending the event.
- Ken Germano, ACE president, spoke about inactivity and childhood obesity as well as the importance of educating the general public about certification and risks of working with an unqualified trainer.
- Dr. Cedric Bryant, ACE chief exercise physiologist, discussed the heavily debated topic of nutritional supplements and scope of practice for the fitness professional recommending supplements.
- Fabio Comana, manager of exam certification and development for ACE, shared information on the hottest new trend toward functional training - a program designed to help improve one’s ability to perform everyday activities with greater efficiency.
A five year dream in the making, this is the second of many more ACE Fitness Professional Forums to come.
