SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Oct. 25, 2006 – The American Council on Exercise (ACE), America’s nonprofit fitness advocate, is pleased to announce that Jerry Napp, MS has been appointed to National Commercial Account Manager. With more than 20 years experience in the health and fitness industry, Napp will be working directly with fitness professionals, health clubs, universities and other industry organizations across the nation to extend the reach of ACE certification and education.
Napp most recently was with Nautilus and focused directly on the medical and senior market. He was responsible for developing a large dealer network, on-going promotion of products and managing key accounts. Prior to his work with Nautilus, Napp received top honors as StairMaster’s Sports/Medical Salesman of the Year in 1999. There he served the southeast region of the country and demonstrated consistent territory sales growth.
In addition, his health and fitness background includes serving as Director of Fitness and Health Promotion for the YMCA in Birmingham, AL and as an Exercise Specialist in Cardiac Rehabilitation for Madison General (Merriter) Hospital in Madison, WI.
Napp is an ACE-certified Personal Trainer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s degree with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology from the University of Alabama – Birmingham School of Education.
