About

I have been a trainer for about 12 years. My first certification was the ACE personal trainer and after that I continued my education/certification process getting my ACE Clinical Exercise Specialist (now the Advanced Health & Fitness Specialist) in 2000, my Medical Exercise Specialist from American Academy of Health, Fitness, & Rehabilitation Specialists in 2000, my comprehensive (all the equipment and Mat) Pilates certification from Polestar Pilates in 2006, my group Mat & Reformer certification from Polestar Pilates in 2007, and my level 1 Kettlebell Instructor ceretification in 2008. I am currently working on completing my Flexibility & Corrective Exercise Specialist from the Swedish Institute as well as the Advanced Personal Training Ceretificate (like a Masters in exercise science) from the Swedish Institute. I do work with healthy populations but a majority of my work is with pre & post rehabilitation clients and special populations (Neurological disorders, osteoporosis,& ortopedic post rehab). I believe that the gym is a controled environment where we can prepare ourselves for the uncotrolled environment of the world out side the gym.
