Hello, I’m Maria Inez Martinez—often called Zeni—founder of The Zeni Way, Yoga & Wellness. My path in health and movement began in the late 1990s through formal studies in health sciences and kinesiology, and has since evolved through decades of professional practice and continued education. Throughout my career, I have explored a wide range of fitness and wellness modalities, allowing me to integrate evidence-based training with mindful, restorative practices that support both physical performance and mental well-being. I am an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer, an E-RYT® 200 & YACEP® with Yoga Alliance, NeuroFit® certified, and an SCW Life Coach. My approach is grounded in exercise science, functional movement principles, and nervous-system-informed strategies that emphasize adaptability, resilience, and long-term health. Programming is designed to improve balance, coordination, stability, mobility, flexibility, muscular and cardiovascular endurance, while also supporting stress regulation and recovery. I offer private and group sessions, in-person and online classes, and on-demand programs (coming soon). Offerings range from meditation and yoga asana to functional strength training, brain-body fitness, HIIT-style circuits, and fall-prevention programs for active aging. Sessions utilize a variety of tools and modalities and are tailored to meet individuals where they are in their health journey. At the core of my work is a grounded, client-centered philosophy: start where you are, build awareness, and progress with intention. By combining scientific principles with compassionate coaching, I support clients in developing sustainable movement habits that enhance confidence, vitality, and overall quality of life.
