About
In 2010, during my career in non-profit programming, staff was asked by the Director to come up with an event for the community. I suggested a health fair, which became my charge and the event led me to the numerous health disparities in the African-American community. I decided that I wanted to effect change in my community by assisting Black women with developing and maintaining healthy lifestyle habits. I earned my Graduate Certificate in Public Health from Capella University, a certificate in Health Coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. and became an ACE Certified Health Coach. My own journey to finding a healthy lifestyle has given me insight into the many challenges one encounters, which enables me to bring a high level of empathy, respect, and understanding to clients.
