You’ve earned your certification—now it’s time to get your clients moving! Helping your clients achieve a happy, fit and healthy life requires depth of knowledge, leadership skills and a burning desire to change people’s lives. What you learn in your first two years as a trainer—and how you apply that knowledge—is crucial to building long term success. You have the knowledge and you have the passion—now it’s time to put them into practice.
Taught by Dr. Amy Ashmore—a career educator and fitness professional with over 30 years of fitness industry experience, including her work as the program director for the American Military University Sports Sciences program—the First Year Trainer Series helps recently certified professionals apply their knowledge and theory into real-world practice. This, short, easy-to-digest course teaches you how to design and execute safe and effective total body conditioning sessions—and how to lead those sessions with confidence, so you can inspire your clients to achieve their goals. Designed with first year trainers in mind, this course is packed with programming tips, leadership lessons and exercise techniques from experienced health and fitness professionals.
This step-by-step instruction will help you connect with your clients and start them on the path to a healthier and happier life.
You will learn:
- How to design a total body conditioning session.
- How to select appropriate exercises for your clients.
- How to execute a training session safely, effectively—and confidently.
- Make on-the-spot modifications to exercises during sessions.
- Suggested exercises and technique instruction.
Helpful, but it could have gone into greater detail. Most of what it talked about I feel is common knowledge for most instructors.
