Get Active Agers Moving and Feeling Good

As the Baby Boomer generation ages, more adults aged 55 and older are seeking ways to achieve active lifestyles and better health. This presents a tremendous opportunity for health and fitness professionals to improve the lives of active agers. The Functional Core and Balance Program will prepare you to train this population for maximum physical functionality based on emerging research into exercise for the aging. You’ll learn tools and techniques to challenge your clients in dynamic, functional ways that result in the slowing of the physiological aging process.

Taught by co-founder of the Functional Aging Institute Dr. Dan Ritchie, PhD and creator of the ActivMotion Bar Derek Mikulski, this course offers key concepts, thought processes, strategies and exercises that will help you guide your clients to make progress in their fitness and physical health. The course utilizes the ActivMotion Bar—a revolutionary fitness tool built with internal dynamic resistance to simulate real-life functional movement—but can be applied universally to any program using any type of bar. With four levels of balance circuits targeted on the core, you’ll be prepared to provide your clients with a scalable fitness program that gets results.

You will learn:

  • How to safely train active aging clients while providing stimulus for life-changing results
  • How to facilitate greater core and joint stability
  • How to create a scaled program using the ActivMotion bar—or any type of bar—for clients of various fitness levels
  • 10 detailed exercises, and how to scale and implement them into one-on-one or group training

Absolutely awful. This was an advertisement for a product not a practical course that can be adapted to what we have on hand. Would not have paid for this course had I known it was simply an infomercial. Did not live up to the standard that I have become accustomed to with ACE.

I found that this course was a blatant product promotion. The exercises revolved around the product that many of us don't or will never have. I was very disappointed as I was hoping to employ some new movements in my Balance and Mobility classes.

Excellent tactical strategies given in a well-paced way. Good amount of demonstrations presented well. More programs like this.

Although there was some ok information, I was extremely dismayed that this was simply an advertisement and training video for the ActiveMotion Bar. I did not like paying for and watching how to use their specific piece of equipment without suggestions for how to use alternative devices. This is the first time I have not had my high expectation levels exceeded by an ACE CEU course,

Content was good but for $49 I expected more!
