Managing Everyday Stressors for Better Health—And a Better Life
Stress is ever present in our lives and can seriously impact our health if not managed properly. Even the most physically fit client is not immune to the physical effects of life stress. Work, family, relationships and day-to-day life can be a recipe for hormonal issues if we aren’t living consciously and mindfully. As a health and fitness professional, you can help your clients navigate their stress and guide them to healthier and more active lifestyles through physical training and proper nutrition. This video training, led by Kelly Vargo, MS—an ACE Certified Health Coach, ACE Behavior Change Specialist and professor in the Exercise and Nutrition Science Department at The George Washington University—will help you identify your clients’ daily stressors and mitigate them through behavior change.
Through this course, you will understand the physiological effects of stress, the benefits of stress management and behavior change strategies to decrease daily stress. You’ll learn to help your clients manage their stress via practical, evidence-based behavior change techniques that will have them feeling healthier and happier every day.
