The Movement of Life
Whether it’s carrying the groceries, picking up a child or playing a sport, the stronger and more efficient we are with our movement, the more enjoyable life will be. The key factors to optimizing human performance and function from a movement perspective are moving often and moving variably. Not moving enough (as seen in sedentary clients) or moving repetitively (as seen with athletes) has major health consequences. In both cases, similar repetitive musculoskeletal injuries can occur. Loaded Movement Training is a method to bulletproof the body by exposing it to a dynamic training environment that gets people to move often and variably for many life and sporting tasks.
Taught by international fitness lecturer and creator of the ViPR Michol Dalcourt, along with fitness expert and VP of the Institute of Motion Derrick Price, this course provides an all-inclusive framework to teach task specific, whole-body integrated, multiplanar movement that involves moving or carrying mass. Designed to be compatible with the ACE Integrated Fitness Training® (ACE IFT®) Model, Loaded Movement Training provides the necessary conditioning to create a stronger body that can tolerate and adapt to the dynamic demands of life and sport.
You will learn:
- To define Loaded Movement Training (LMT) and identify when it is needed within a strength and conditioning protocol
- The benefits of LMT as it relates to human performance and function
- To integrate LMT within the ACE IFT Model as an effective programming solution for intermediate to advanced clients
- A library of 100 LMT exercises, mapped to each phase of the ACE IFT Model
