The ACE Integrated Fitness Training® (ACE IFT®) Model helps health and fitness professionals deliver custom, individualized exercise programs built on a foundation of meaningful rapport and strong personal connection. As the most comprehensive training model in the industry, the ACE IFT Model provides insight to better serve those striving to achieve everything from simple function to health, fitness and elite performance.
Phase 2 of the ACE IFT Model focuses on progressing clients with movement patterns or introducing aerobic intervals, depending on whether you are leading them through cardiorespiratory training, or functional movement and resistance training. In either of those scenarios, building rapport is a critical component of their success. In this course, you’ll learn how to use rapport to promote self-efficacy and to advance through states of the Transtheoretical Model of Behavior Change.
You will learn:
- The value and importance of visualization and imagery
- To help clients develop a formal change plan to promote adherence to exercise
- How to most effectively work with clients in the action stage of the Transtheoretical Model of Behavior Change, and how to help them move toward the maintenance stage
