Aerobic-Base Training: Applying the FITT-VP Principle to the ACE IFT® Model, Phase 1

In the first of four courses regarding the Cardiorespiratory Training component of the ACE Integrated Fitness Training® (ACE IFT®) Model, you will learn how the FITT principles can be used to progress clients safely through Phase 1. A set of rules related to the Frequency, Intensity, Type and Time of exercise, FITT now also incorporates volume and progression. Led by ACE Exercise Physiologist Jacque Ratliff, the course will address all of these components, concluding with a case study that demonstrates safe client progression within the ACE IFT® Model.
You will learn:
- The components of the FITT-VP principle
- Elements of Phase 1 of the Cardiorespiratory Training component of the ACE IFT Model
- How to plan safe and effective exercise progressions for a client training within phase 1 of the cardiorespiratory component
