Establishing appropriate training intensities can be a challenge for both client and fitness professional. In the second of four courses that delve deeper into the Cardiorespiratory Training component of the ACE Integrated Fitness Training® (ACE IFT®) Model, you will learn how to use the sub-maximal talk test to progress clients safely through Phase 2 of a cardiovascular training plan. This course, led by ACE Exercise Physiologist Jacque Ratliff, will conclude with a case study.

You will learn:

  • Components of the sub-maximal talk test and how it can be used to establish appropriate training intensities
  • Intricacies of Phase 2 of the Cardiorespiratory Training component of the ACE IFT Model
  • How to plan safe and effective exercise progressions for a client within Phase 2 of the cardiorespiratory component
