The modern day worksite is a sedentary environment. Many American adults spend 40+ hours per week sitting at a desk. In this free, live webinar, Tom Richards, director of corporate engagement for ACE, will make the case for creating active worksites. This benefits both employees and the company. He will discuss the National Coalition for the Promotion of Physical Activity’s CEO Pledge as a free tool for changing worksite culture, offer a range of options for encouraging employees to be active, discuss public policy considerations, and make recommendations for greater integration of physical activity and employee wellness programs.
You will learn:
- Evidence in support of creating active worksites
- The value of the CEO Pledge for Physical Activity
- A menu of ideas for creating a supportive environment for physical activity
- Federal policies that may impact physical activity in the workplace
- Trends and innovations influencing the integration of physical activity and employee wellness programs
