This 7-hour training is designed for fitness instructors, yoga & Pilates teachers, personal trainers and fitness enthusiasts who are interested in learning to teach aerial fitness. Course participants will learn Fly Gym equipment and safety information, functional anatomy and kinesiology as it applies to aerial exercises, how to use wraps and holds in the fabric slings to leverage one's body off the ground, how to properly progress exercises using different wraps and body positions, a variety of different Fly Gym aerial exercises, and how to structure an aerial fitness class. Participants will also learn the principles of how to modify and progress exercises for clients of different abilities. At the end of the course, students will be asked to design a sample class and demonstrate teaching. Students who complete the course requirements successfully will be issued a certificate of completion as a Fly Gym Aerial Fitness Instructor.
