Get Active Agers Moving and Feeling Good
As the Baby Boomer generation ages, more adults aged 55 and older are seeking ways to achieve active lifestyles and better health. This presents a tremendous opportunity for health and fitness professionals to improve the lives of active agers. The Functional Core and Balance Program will prepare you to train this population for maximum physical functionality based on emerging research into exercise for the aging. You’ll learn tools and techniques to challenge your clients in dynamic, functional ways that result in the slowing of the physiological aging process.
Taught by co-founder of the Functional Aging Institute Dr. Dan Ritchie, PhD and creator of the ActivMotion Bar Derek Mikulski, this course offers key concepts, thought processes, strategies and exercises that will help you guide your clients to make progress in their fitness and physical health. The course utilizes the ActivMotion Bar—a revolutionary fitness tool built with internal dynamic resistance to simulate real-life functional movement—but can be applied universally to any program using any type of bar. With four levels of balance circuits targeted on the core, you’ll be prepared to provide your clients with a scalable fitness program that gets results.
You will learn:
- How to safely train active aging clients while providing stimulus for life-changing results
- How to facilitate greater core and joint stability
- How to create a scaled program using the ActivMotion bar—or any type of bar—for clients of various fitness levels
- 10 detailed exercises, and how to scale and implement them into one-on-one or group training
Reviews
Way too much of a product advertisement. The exercises listed should incorporate variations/modifications using a simple bar or without a bar as well to show it can be done without purchasing this specific item
too much about equipment they were promoting
Great course, I really appreciate that the presentation is downloadable and printable, and I love that 4 circuits at various levels were provided that are ready to use. My only suggestion would be to walk through each of the circuits in the final video.
