About
Unlike most personal trainers, I didn't start out loving fitness, health, or sports. Until the end of high school and early years of college, I was extremely overweight and unhealthy. Then, like most people looking to make a proactive change in their health, I decided enough was enough, and that it was time to make a change. I slowly started eating healthier, exercising, and I got into kickboxing in college. From there, a passion was ignited. I went on to study a couple of other martial arts, but had to put that on hiatus while I finished my degree at SDSU. After I graduated, I realized I didn't want a career in the major I studied in, and went back to my martial arts training. At my previous job, I fell in love with educating others (especially kids), so when I got back into training, I realized that I wanted to share my knowledge and passion of martial arts by becoming a certified black belt/instructor. Well, it turns out that a big part of martial arts is self-respect. If I wanted my students to respect their bodies and their health, I would need to share with them the knowledge of how to do so. Thus, I decided to become a personal trainer. I have learned that leading a healthy life, much like studying a martial art, is a never-ending journey. I am truly honored to be a part of my clients' journeys to their ideal, healthy lifestyles.
