About LISA VERRAN: I love teaching yoga because it is for everybody and every body no matter the age, size,weight,shape, or fitness level. Not only does yoga improve strength,balance,and flexibility but it also connects us to our inner spirit and makes us feel gratitude and compassion for all living creatures. If everyone practiced a little yoga everyday this world would be a more peaceful one. I enjoy teaching weight training because a muscular fit body makes you more confident and more alive. It gives you the energy and stamina you need to live your best life. My personal philosophy on fitness is to be active for at least 30 minutes everyday.Whether I am jogging with my golden retriever,biking or swimming with my family, or teaching an exercise class, I make fitness part of my lifestyle. It is a choice and a priority I make everyday and you can too. I have been a fitness enthusiast for 20 years. I have taught in a multitude of environments including corporate fitness in the workplace, YMCA,Senior centers, Nursing homes, daycares, LA Fitness, Loma Linda University healthcare and Loma Linda University Medical Center. I have also taught beach yoga at resort hotels in Mexico. I completed a 200 hour RYT Program with YogaFit and did continued intensive yoga training in Rishikesh India. I am constantly amazed at all the ways yoga can be used to heal people in hundreds of ways physically emotionally and spiritually. It is a beautiful timeless ancient method of health happiness and wellness and it is both a joy and honor to share with my students.
