Once upon a time, on school bus far far away a 7th grade boy called me fatty... Looking back, I'm not sure if I'd want to kick him in the shin or thank him for pointing me in the right direction. "Fatty". That one word became a driving force for me and I vowed to never be a "fatty" again. I started to make an effort to become more active and to eat healthier. I became a three sport athlete during the school year and participated in summer leagues as well. When I was in high school some friends and I started the 1st ever Girls Power Lifting team in my home town. I soon realized the difference that weight training could have on my body and I fell in love with it. I continued lifting and working out in college and my senior year I was presented with an amazing, albeit dumb-luck opportunity. I signed up for a PE course that turned out to be a 5am workout with the ARMY ROTC. It was there I learned how to truly push myself to reach goals and, all kidding aside, "be all that I could be". Since college I have continued to live a healthy and active lifestyle. I stay up on the latest nutrition information and enjoy learning more and more about physical fitness. I believe that everyone has a story and that no matter how yours starts, it is up to you to turn the pages in the right direction. My story has given me an overpowering enthusiasm to live a healthy life and an even stronger passion to help others conquer their goals. I'd love to be the turning point in your story.
