My training philosophy: (Check out my website: www.AnnieElmer.com for current events, etc.) Has life sandwiched you between priorities like work, taking care of children, parents, etc. and not allowing you to take care of yourself? I would like to help you learn how to change your lifestyle to add physical activity and give yourself better health, energy and release stress to meet those life challenges! If you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t take care of your family and other priorities! Yo-yo dieting has been proven to be detrimental to your health, so as a personal trainer, I encourage my clients to focus on adding physical activity to their lifestyle instead of counting lost pounds. Improvements in health, such as reduced stress, feeling stronger, changes in clothing sizes, being consistent with activity and beginning to enjoy physical activity is how I measure my clients’ success. I believe we should love ourselves just as we are, including our flaws, forgive ourselves for how we got ourselves in the shape we are in now and make this the first day of the rest of our lives and get started on a healthier lifestyle. My personal physical activity history: I have run a half marathon; ridden my bicycle in the MS Ride Across Minnesota 5 times and the AIDS ride from Minneapolis to Chicago once; Red Ribbon Ride 4 times; helicopter-skied in Canada; hiked the Grand Canyon; and hiked and/or backpacked hundreds of miles in Glacier Park in Montana. Train in the privacy of my home - no membership dues, total privacy - no one to judge you or to compete for equipment - motivating 65-minute workouts including resistance training and stretching and tracking of cardio progress, etc. Reasonable prices: $40-$50 per hour depending on number of sessions bought.
