San Diego, Calif., December 8, 2025 — The American Council on Exercise (ACE) and Nick Lambe, The Online Sleep Coach, have announced the launch of the Sleep & Recovery Coach Course, a new educational program designed to equip health and exercise professionals improve client outcomes by integrating sleep and recovery science into their coaching practices.

The course offers a behavioral, evidence-based approach to improving recovery, performance, and overall well-being by targeting the habits and environmental factors that influence sleep quality.

“Recovery is a foundational component of sustaining an active lifestyle and supporting overall well-being,” said Cedric X. Bryant, PhD, FACSM, ACE chief executive officer. “The Sleep & Recovery Coach Course bridges the gap between sleep optimization and behavior-change coaching and advances our shared mission to help people move more and live healthier lives.”

The Sleep & Recovery Coach Course curriculum covers key areas including:

  • Assessment and interpretation of sleep patterns and behaviors to identify factors limiting recovery and performance

  • The science connecting sleep, training adaptation, metabolism, stress regulation, and mental performance
