About

Melissa Sledge is a Certified Personal Trainer who is passionate about health and fitness. In 2014, Melissa began her own weight loss journey after realizing she was not living life as her best self. She is a former athlete who had been leading an unhealthy lifestyle. It took a trip home and a loving talk with her father to help Melissa make a life-changing decision. Through dedication, hard work, and encouragement from family and friends, Melissa not only met her weight loss and fitness goals but also surpassed them. It started with cutting out her favorite foods (pizza and French fries) and ended with an amazing 50 pounds of shed weight. Melissa’s inspirational story was featured in Shape magazine’s March 2016 issue. As she went through her own journey, she developed a strong desire to help others reach their personal weight loss goals. It is her belief that the key to sustainable weight loss is to first address emotional, behavioral, and cultural relationships with food. She is dedicated to helping others break this unhealthy food bond by encouraging them to reflect on their options while also empowering them to make healthier choices. In addition to being a Certified Personal Trainer, Melissa is an avid golfer and is Titleist Performance Institute Certified Fitness Professional. Through this certification, she understands how fitness impacts a golfer’s performance. She hopes to help other golfers improve their abilities by providing instruction on fitness techniques.
