I am a retired college professor, and although I remain interested in my academic disciplines, I have a long-standing interest in fitness and staying active. As a life-long learner, I decided to study for several fitness certifications. I am certified by the American Council of Exercise (ACE) as a Personal Trainer, by Functional Movement Systems (FMS) Levels 1 and 2 for movement screening, and by Strong First as a kettlebell instructor. I am a firm believer in the FMS tag line: “move well. move often”.
