Women experience significant hormonal changes throughout their lives—from puberty and pregnancy to postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause—that can affect physical performance, mental health, energy levels, and overall quality of life. Without proper understanding and support, these transitions can present challenges for both women and the fitness professionals who coach them. This engaging course, led by Reena Vokoun, M.S., Founder and CEO of Passion Fit and an ACE Certified Pro, provides a practical, evidence-informed approach to navigating women’s hormonal health through lifestyle medicine.
Designed for fitness and wellness professionals who train or coach women, as well as women experiencing perimenopause or menopause, this course focuses on actionable strategies that can be applied immediately. You will learn how to leverage exercise, nutrition and supplementation, hormonal care, sleep, and stress management to support themselves and their clients through hormonal transitions. By increasing awareness and providing practical tools, this course empowers participants to deliver more informed, supportive coaching and help women thrive through every stage of life.
Upon completion, you will be able to:
- Identify the key hormonal life stages women experience and describe the common physical, mental, and emotional changes associated with each stage
- Apply lifestyle medicine tools—including exercise, nutrition and supplementation, hormonal care considerations, sleep, and stress management—to support women during hormonal transitions.
- Explain why lifestyle medicine strategies are critical for promoting resilience, health, and long-term well-being during periods of hormonal change.
- Demonstrate how informed, supportive coaching practices can improve client confidence, adherence, and overall outcomes across women’s life stages
