About
I’m an energetic Personal Trainer and Coach with a passion to motivate aging adults to get up and MOVE! I’ve experienced it and I believe: exercise and proper diet can prevent, reverse and slow progression of age-related diseases. I challenge, coach, and work with those who want to commit to a program that will help them avoid or slow progression of debilitating and aging symptoms. My training stye: * A Stickler on form: Form first, speed second! Correct with compassion – verbal and visual cues, hands on only with permission. * Assessor: Aware of contraindications; watch for visual cues, listen for verbal cues, and provide/encourage options for regression/progressions. * Motivator: We do it because WE CAN! If you’re not progressing you’re regressing. But sometimes we have setbacks and need a reset. That’s OK. Do what you can when you can. Just keep moving! * Innovator: Bored with your routine? Change it up! Hurts to do that? Well don’t do that! There are so many different ways to reach your goals. Which one/what works for you? * Socializing: There are studies that show that people are more motivated to work out if they have a friend or a partner; and I have found that clients are more likely to continue with their exercise program if they feel comfortable, especially in group settings. I try to ensure that everyone knows your name and that each person feels included ‐ not like a stranger. To me, you’re part of the our workout community, right from the start; and I strive to let you know that. * Many have called my workout classes a Torture Chamber, and said that I tortured them. But “they” love it!...they must. They keep coming back. * Oh! And I like to make it enjoyable, or at least tolerable, and hopefully fun. :)
