This course helps trainers identify participants who are categorized into a special population and provide precautions for exercise based on health history and medical release. The trainers will be able to list the physical considerations, exercise recommendations, precautions, and exercise benefits for the top ten medical conditions. Overuse is the number one cause of exercise injury,and there are many risk factors for overuse injuries that trainers should avoid. Exercising safely should include the six ways to prevent sports injuries. Personal trainers should classify injuries as mild, moderate, or severe without diagnosing the injury,and provide modification for activity. Understanding the causes, symptoms, and treatment options for twelve sport specific injuries will increase a clients safety as well as the effectiveness of an exercise program.
