I have enjoyed endurance sports since 1999, participating in triathlons and numerous road races including five half marathons. On September 11, 2002 I was diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor resulting in brain surgeries and radiation as well as 16 months of Decadron (Prednisone x10) medication. I gained 60 pounds and lost most of my muscle. Following this I had to rebuild muscle, bone and lose fat. I have been successful and have enjoyed working with clients who are rebuilding following an illness or injury or who simply wish to maximize their resting metabolic rate by building a healthy body composition.
