I may be unique as a trainer in that I have not been into fitness my whole life. I actually spent decades abusing my health and fighting depression. I had my children late in life (my first awakening). After they were no longer infants, I found myself overweight and feeling horrible and old. I wanted to set a better example for my kids. I had never considered joining a gym but was recommended to an all-women facility – and there I started slowly. Eventually, I became hooked, and one thing led to another. Some opportunities presented themselves, and when I turned around to reflect on my new life, I decided to commit to sharing my journey with other women.
