This is a non-academic course that meets for 8 weeks during the Winter Quarter. Outside of the 2.5 hours of formal weekly meeting time, most participants will benefit from 2-4 hours of additional preparation time needed to complete reading and other assignments critical to success in the course. Attendance at all sessions is strongly encouraged.
Who Should Take This Course?
This course is primarily designed for anyone who is considering a full or part-time job as a Personal Trainer or other Fitness Professional. Students looking to pursue a professional degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy may also benefit from this knowledge. Finally, if you are simply looking for a way to significantly expand your fitness knowledge, you may also find this workshop beneficial and educational.

About the Instructors:
This course will be taught by DePaul’s Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness, Chris Nasti. Chris has been a certified Personal Trainer for 10 years and has been managing and developing Personal Trainers for seven years. He has a B.S. in Kinesiology and a M.S. in Sport & Recreation Management. Chris is also a certified ACE Health Coach and USATF Track & Field coach. Chris currently oversees DePaul’s Personal Training program and other Fitness Services.
In addition, the class will also benefit from guest presenters, including current DePaul Personal Trainers and Fitness Instructors.
