Adidas fitness and training shoes are typically loaded with high-tech features and are available in a range of prices. The mid-priced Adidas Supernova Cushion 7 running shoe is no exception and features a step-in sockliner, Adidas patented adiPRENE® in the heel and midsole for exceptional cushioning, and its Torsion® System for midfoot support and stability. A non-marking rubber sole offers adequate traction and is purported to resist abrasion.
Our reviewers found these shoes to be comfortable and highly cushioned, but offering little arch support. Although the manufacturer claims they run true to size, most wearers will find they need to order at least one full size larger to attain adequate toe room and to accommodate thicker socks. The styling is sleek and a mesh panel on the top of the foot enhances moisture control and breathability, although it leaves the foot exposed when running in rain or mud. Minimal arch support makes this shoe more appropriate for people with lower arches, although the roomy toe box will accommodate slightly wider feet.
