The GYMBOSS® offers a simple way to enjoy an effective interval-training workout without having to fiddle with a multifunction wristwatch or listen to a beeping alarm.
We used the GYMBOSS® with a stationary bicycle, walking, and running. Each time, the unit clipped easily to a waistband or belt. It was easy to set up, and with the auto repeat function, we pushed the start button to get it going and had to do nothing further until the workout was over. The vibe feature allowed us to do early morning interval workouts on the bike without waking up everyone else. This feature didn’t seem work as well for running when worn on the waistband. Wearing it on an armband — or using the beep alarm — may be a better idea for higher impact activities.
The GYMBOSS® website offers a variety of workout ideas, from Crossfit and martial arts to running and high-intensity interval training. The workouts we completed with the GYMBOSS® were more intense — and we pushed ourselves harder than usual. Because health risks increase with exercise intensity, users should perform high-intensity interval training only after receiving medical clearance for this type of activity.
At $19.95 a unit, the GYMBOSS® is a bargain for fitness enthusiasts who are looking for a simple yet effective tool to take their training to the next level.
